A copy of the 2025 Proposed Budget is available for inspection by appointment with the Town Clerk. NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF WHEATLAND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a special Town Meeting of the electors of the Town of Wheatland on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. to take place immediately following the Public Hearing on the Proposed 2025 Budget. This special Town meeting called by the Town Board pursuant to Section 60.12(1)(c), Wis. Stat., will be held for the following purposes(s): 1. To adopt the proposed budget and approve the 2024 town tax levy to be collected in 2025 pursuant to Section 60.10(1)(a) of Wisconsin Statutes. 2. To approve total highway expenditures for 2025 pursuant to s. 82.03, Wis. Stat. 3. To approve the decrease in wages for the Treasurer to allow for the cost to hire an independent company to send out tax bills which would include envelopes & stamps. Town Board shall convene immediately following the adjournment of the Special Meeting of the Electors to formalize the adoption of the budget and tax levy and to conduct business as posted on a separate agenda for that meeting.
